United States federal government agency the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced in a press release it sent to CoinReport the agenda for the financial technology (fintech) forum that its staff is hosting on May 31 to discuss digital assets and distributed ledger technology.
The SEC’s Strategic Hub for Innovation and Financial Technology (FinHub) will host the forum, which will start at 9:30 a.m. ET. The 2019 FinTech Forum will feature four panels.
Held at the SEC’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., the forum is open to the public on a first-come, first-serve basis. The door will open an hour early – at 8 a.m. ET.
The SEC advises the guests attending the event to bring their photo IDs with them and encourages them to arrive at a time that allows them to go through security and be at the forum from the start. Guests are not required to register for the forum.
The SEC’s website will webcast the event live, while a recorded video of the forum for later viewing will be available on the FinHub page. For live updates throughout the event, the SEC encourages the public to follow the SEC on Twitter at @SEC_News. The FinTech Forum hashtag is #SECfintech.
